As a teenager I spent many vacations in Spain on the Mediterranean. The sunsets over the sea always looked like expressive paintings to me. This small painting kind of ‘happened’ when I had leftover paint on my palette one day, inspired by the memories of those dreamy, intense Spanish skies at sunset.
